About Power Physio
Most injuries or conditions with persistent pain can be treated with good advice and exercise. Our treatment philosophy is active and exercise-based, designed to help you build strength and resilience around areas of injury.

Treatment begins with a thorough assessment to correctly identify the cause of your pain or dysfunction and to determine what can be done about it. From there, we create a personalized plan that supports your recovery and equips you with the knowledge to manage your condition independently.

The goal of each session is to empower you: to teach you how to move safely, strengthen effectively, and maintain progress long after you leave the clinic. By focusing on active strategies rather than passive treatments, we aim to create lasting improvements that help you return to the activities and lifestyle you enjoy.
About The Team

JOHN
Physiotherapist/ Owner
Johnny Power is the owner and operator of Power Physio and has over ten years of physiotherapy experience in both the public and private sectors. In 2022, he opened Power Physio to bring an active, exercise-based approach to rehabilitation to Parry Sound.
A lover of the outdoors, Johnny enjoys paddling, running, hockey, and skiing, and he brings that same energy and passion to his work. Outside the clinic, he enjoys traveling and sailing on Georgian Bay with his wife and their golden retriever, Mr. Bojangles.

KATELYN
Physiotherapist Assistant
Katelyn Jay is an experienced physiotherapy assistant with 17 years in injury rehabilitation and patient recovery. Born and raised in Huntsville, Katelyn first worked alongside Johnny and Tara at the West Parry Sound Health Centre and joined Power Physio full-time in 2025.

A CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and passionate fitness enthusiast, Katelyn is always preparing for her next challenge. When she’s not training, you’ll likely find her at her second home, Georgian Nordic, snapping photos, or spending quality time with her husband and their two adorable cats.

TARA
Physiotherapist
Tara Smith is a highly experienced physiotherapist with 37 years in the field. A longtime resident of the Parry Sound–Muskoka area, Tara spent much of her career providing physical therapy in the public sector before joining the Power Physio team.

A lifelong athlete, Tara is a strong believer in active rehabilitation, helping her patients move better, regain strength, and reach their goals. Always a competitor no matter the setting, she stays active in the gym and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family.

JESSICA
Registered Acupuncturist
Jess Kraitberg offers care that is inclusive, respectful, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Before training as an acupuncturist, she worked as a registered midwife for 15 years, providing calm, safe, client-focused care. Through her personal and clinical experience, Jess has witnessed how acupuncture can support health and well-being.

Her approach is relaxed and unhurried, allowing time for thoughtful treatments. When she's not in the clinic, you'll often find her spending time with my daughters, searching for small treasures in the forests and beaches around Parry Sound
